My courage inflated by smiles, friendship and promised rewards
On the risers I stand, my courage waning
As the Director’s glance on me seems to be straining,
She raisers her hands in a gesture of malice
I shrink behind the basses below us
Then in an instant of magic the sound is booming
A wave of harmony I feel run through me
