We welcome new members who share our joy in singing a cappella.
We do have an audition process. We will give you learning materials (sheet music and audio tracks) to learn two songs over a period of four to six weeks. You will have opportunities to practise during this period. When you feel ready to audition, you will be invited to sing your part in a quartet while a member of the Music Team listens. We are looking for accurate words and notes, which are the foundation of barbershop harmony. The second stage of your audition involves learning two of our contest songs and having your performance assessed by music staff.
Your first rehearsal is free. As a prospective member and then a full member of Circular Keys Chorus, you pay $50 per month. This covers your membership of Circular Keys Chorus, Sweet Adelines Australia, and Sweet Adelines International. Because your Australian and International dues are payable at the time you become a full member, you will be asked to pay an upfront amount. After that, your Australian and International dues will be funded from your monthly payments.
